AI video redaction
AI video redaction is how operators stop doing frame-by-frame labor. Video Blackout runs local detectors on the PC that opened the file. Suggested boxes for faces and license plates can be kept, discarded, resized, or tracked. You can also ignore the detector and draw boxes from scratch. Export still rewrites pixels — the model does not host your video.

Automated video redaction means the first pass is machine-assisted, not that a black box ships a file without a human. That split matters for discovery and for FOIA: a person still owns the release. Tracking (CSRT) follows a region once you confirm it, which is the difference between a toy blur filter and software you can defend in a records log.

- No. Detection runs inside the Windows app. We do not host a web blur demo.

- The software proposes face and license-plate boxes so operators are not painting every frame. People still review, add manual boxes, mark audio ranges by hand, and export a burned-in file.
- Does AI redact audio automatically?
- No. Audio has no speech detector. Operators mark mute or beep ranges on the timeline.
